Puppy Socialisation Outing
All puppies need positive socialisation to help them develop into confident, happy and healthy family members. And your DogSmith is your local puppy expert! We can help you with effective and efficient socialisation plans including daily tasks that you can complete from the comfort and safety of your home! Each DogSmith Puppy Socialisation Outing includes positive socialisation exercises to people, dogs and 'strange' objects - all at a distance your puppy is comfortable; in lots of different environments ranging from the coast to the countryside, the veterinary clinic to a local café! Available from 1-4 hours. Socialisation Solutions A series of six DogSmith Socialisation Outings for your puppy. Walk & Train Your DogSmith Puppy Expert takes your puppy for a 30-minute walk. We incorporate training of loose leash walking/stop/stay/come/leave it/watch me/hand touch and positive socialisation experiences – basically, whatever arises while we are walking! |
Private One-On-One Training Lessons
Private sessions at training centre or In-home pet dog training lessons are for owners who do not find group classes a viable option. Your local DogSmith will meet with you and your puppy for a private 45-minute class, specifically tailored to meet you and your puppy's needs. Puppy Solutions Prepaid Package A series of 6 lessons for you and your new puppy. This course covers the basic puppy skills, puppy development, house training and crate training. The DogSmith makes a 45-minute visit to your home and takes you and your puppy through a scheduled programme. Alternatively you and your puppy can come to the Training Centre. Private Recap Training Sessions A 45-minute recap lesson for you and your puppy. This series is customised around the skills you have learned in your DogSmith group or private training class. Recap Solutions A series of six 45-minute lessons for you and your pet dog. Please note we cannot work on new skills in these sessions. |

DogSmith 14-Day Puppy Pack Programmes
The Puppy Pack Puppy Training Programmes are designed for puppies from 7 weeks to 6 months of age, and establish the foundation for the puppy’s entire life. The ‘Puppy Pack’ Puppy Training Goals include house-training, crate training, bite inhibition (puppy nipping), doggie social skills with people and dogs, and some key puppy obedience skills like, ‘Sit’, ‘Down’, ‘Stand’, ‘Come’, ‘Walk nicely’, ‘let’s go’, ‘leave it’, ‘name recognition’ and ‘stay’ behaviours.

A Beginner Class for Puppies
We could all use a little help with our manners, right? The Small Paw Etiquette 6-class course for dogs less than 6 months old is brought to you by Pointer Veterinary Clinic, Marbella and The DogSmith of Estepona, This course covers the essentials of family life, house training, crate training, puppy biting, basic leash skills and simple manners cues like sit, down, come, stay, no jumping and watch me. The classes are fun and help build your puppy's confidence while socialising him or her to different dogs and people. The Small Paw Etiquette Puppy Class Course takes place at The Pointer Veterinary Clinic Marbella or at The DogSmith of Estepona Training Centre. Puppy Orientation Workshop
In this DogSmith Puppy Orientation workshop, we will teach you how to house-train your puppy in the fastest, easiest, and most humane way. We will explore how a dog learns when to eliminate, at what age he has the control to avoid frequent accidents, what cleaning solutions work best on any 'accidents', how his feeding schedule can impact his potty training, and much more.
We will also talk about common puppy/adolescent issues such as crating, nipping, chewing, jumping, and barking. As well as giving you information regarding the importance of positive puppy socialisation and humane, rewards-based training methods and equipment.

Don't see a Puppy Orientation Workshop or Small Paw Etiquette Group Class open for registration?
- If registration numbers are low, or advice/legislation changes regarding Covid-19, we may need to postpone your class or workshop. If this happens, we will, of course, let you know.
- Please pay on registration.
- All unpaid registrations will be cancelled after 48-hours so that the place is made available for another registrant.

While we understand that on occasion unforeseen events may occur, if you need to cancel a lesson, please call us a minimum 48 hours prior to your lesson or you will be charged a €40 cancellation fee for that lesson.
