What Dog Training 'Methods' Do We Use?

• We believe that learning should be fun and pain-free.  That’s why we use force-free methods!
  
• With proper, science based, rewards based, force-free techniques, dogs can be taught just about anything!  
• No shouting at dogs for doing the "wrong thing"; no forcing your dog into a sit or a down; no choke chains, prong collars or other aversive tools.
  
• We teach dogs what we would like them to do; we motivate your dog to "work", and we "pay" him/her for doing that work!
• We work with you, the pet owner, to enhance your pet's emotional wellbeing through the use of fear free practices, thus reducing the potential for fear, anxiety or stress for either canine or human.
  

Why Do We Use Positive Reinforcement?

• Positive reinforcement techniques lead to accelerated learning!
  
• Positive reinforcement is one of the most important and widely applied principles of behaviour analysis.
• Positive reinforcement is the addition of a reward following a desired behaviour with the purpose of increasing the likelihood the behaviour will occur again.
• When a positive outcome or reward occurs after an action, that particular response will be reinforced.
• Teach your dog what you want them to do and reward them for doing it as, if you reinforce a behaviour, it will be repeated!
